FC Johansen will play host to the Water Front Boys today at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in a match that could see the host make it to the top four of the league table and the visitors moving away from relegation with a win.
FC Johansen, who lost their last match to East End Tigers are bracing up for the challenge as three points will take them to the top four while Ports Authority are poised for a second win in the league to increase their points to nine and go above relegation.
Head coach of FC Johansen, Alhaji Kamara is optimistic his team will bounce back from the East End Tigers defeat and get all three points in today’s match.
“We have made a very big improvement in the team and highly motivated for this match. We are going for all three points and hope to get the best of possession,” the Johansen head coach said.
On his part, Ports Authority caretaker coach, Hassan Milla Sesay expressed hope that his team gets a good game. He said they were going to build on the past match, which they won.
“We are very much hopeful that the three points will be ours though we know it’s not going to be an easy task. My boys are in high spirit and very disciplined,” coach Hassan Milla Sesay said.
FC Johansen have played eight games (won three, drew three, and lost two); and are in 9th place from eight matches played with 12 points. A win will see them leap to 4th place while a draw will see leave them in 6th place.
Ports Authority meanwhile, are in 17th place with six points from eight matches played. They have won only one match drew three and lost four. A win will see them move away from relegation to 12th place while a draw will leave them in their current position.
