A strike each by FC Kallon’s Salieu Tarawalie and Mahmoud Fofanah in the first half was enough to demolish current league leaders, Bo Rangers; who were beaten for the third time in an away fixture.
Having won against Diamond Stars in Bo, the Elephants were highly optimistic that they will get all three points in the match until Salieu Tarawalie headed home from a Julius Goba corner in the 19th minute.
Mahmoud Fofanah added to their misery when he blasted from outside the penalty box to make it 2-0 before the break.
Jubilant FC Kallon head coach, Amidu Karim said teamwork was the reason for their victory over Bo Rangers.
“We started well and played both defensively and offensively when necessary. Our boys were mentally upright, highly determined. They defended as a group and attacked as a group. We are looking forward to our next match and hope to get the best out of it,” coach Amidu Karim said.
FC Kallon has leaped to 3rd place with 15 points from nine matches played while Bo Rangers remain at the top with 18 points from nine matches.
