The defending champions resilience was on display as they fought hard throughout the match, eventually finding the back of the net late in the second half with a decisive strike from Amadu Mansaray. Sulaiman M Conteh’s goal for the Tiss Tass Boys was enough for the hosts to earn this hard-fought win. This win for Mighty Blackpool moves them out of the relegation zone. In the Southern Arena, Bo Rangers after a disappointing loss to Stars Sport Academy, defeated Luawa by 1-0. Amadu Mansaray’s goal for the back-to-back champions gave them this all- important three points at home. Last season when these two sides met, Luawa defeated Bo Rangers 2-1 in the first leg,while the second leg, Bo Rangers defeated Luawa 3-1 at the Southern Arena. At the Approved School, league leaders Bhantal defeated relegation threatened Ports Authority 2-1. Mohamed A Kamara opened the scoring chart for Bhantal in the 2nd minute before Alusine Fornah added it up to 2-0. However, Abibu Jalloh’s goal for the visitors reduced the deficit to 2-1 though it wasn’t enough to rescue a point.
